International Scientific Advisory Body

It helps to organize the scientific activities of the Association and to determine its directions. The members of the Body are invited by the President from among the experts in comparative law, based on the decision of the Presidency.

Prof. Dr. János Ede Szilágyi

Chairman

János Ede Szilágyi is the Director of the Ferenc Mádl Institute of Comparative Law, the Director of Strategy of the Central European Academy, and furthermore Professor and Head of the Department of Agricultural and Labour Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Miskolc. He is a founding Professor of the Central European Professors’ Network and the Central European Junior Programme, and a co-founding Professor of CEA Publishing and its numerous associated book series. In addition, he holds positions in several academic organizations, including the European Public Law Organization and the European Council for Agricultural Law. He is Editor-inChief of the journals ‘Central European Journal of Comparative Law’, ‘Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Law’, furthermore ‘Law, Identity and Values’. He is Editor-in-Chief of the book series ‘Studies of the Central European Professors’ Network’, ‘Legal Studies on Central Europe’ and ‘Studies of the Ferenc Mádl Institute’.
