HUNGARY Central European Academy |
Open Day On 24th of June Central European Academy organizes its 3rd Open Day. An interview for new applicants will be held during the event. The Academy enables a short insight to its everyday life. The applicants will have opportunity to meet their colleagues and professors from the Academy. |
CEA Junior Camp This September, the fourth cohort of CEA juniors started their studies at the Academy through the Academy's Junior Programme. From 2024, 11 new young researchers joined the CEA Junior Programme. As is our tradition, this year we organised the CEA Junior Camp, where the new "Gophers" had the opportunity to get to know each other and the CEA staff. |
ASCEA III In line with tradition, the Central European Academy organised its third annual scientific conference, the 'Annual Scientific Conference of the Central European Academy' (ASCEA), on 19-20 September, 2024. |
2024 JAEL Environmental Protection Conference The Central European Academy is organising a conference entitled '2024 JAEL Environmental Protection Conference' on 27 September 2024. The conference series was created in cooperation with CEA, CEDR - Hungarian Agricultural Law Association, the University of Miskolc and other partners. |
IV Hungarian Law Book Salon Continuing the tradition, the Hungarian Bar Association and the Constitutional Court will organise the Hungarian Law Book Salon for the fourth time on 28 September 2024 in the impressive Károlyi-Csekonics Palace, where our Institute will also participate as an exhibitor. |
Children's Law Fest and Conference In keeping with tradition, for the third time we will be holding our annual conference on children's rights, 'Children's Rights Days', on 5-6 December 2024. Following last year's model, a preparatory event is the Children's Rights Festival and Conference, organised by the Association for Children's Rights. |
PhD Thesis Workshop On October 7th the Central European Academy will host a PhD Thesis Workshop, providing fourth-year doctoral students with a valuable opportunity to practice defending their dissertation research. The workshop will simulate a real defense process, allowing our candidates to gain experience in presenting their work, handling questions from experts. |
SUP Workshop The Central European Academy's workshop series continues with its third event, scheduled for October 10, 2024, in Budapest. Following the successful spring workshop held in Bratislava earlier this year, this event will once again bring together young researchers and students to engage in academic discussions across various disciplines. |

Sustainability of the Social Security System has been published (Data: Jakab, Nóra (ed.) Sustainability of the Social Security System: Demographic Challenges and Answers in Central Europe. Miskolc-Budapest: Central European Academic Publishing, 2023.)
The concept of the book has been inspired by vital economic and social issues. The book includes country reports that examine pension and/or healthcare system sustainability, while the comparative chapter highlights the key findings, reflecting Central European solutions to the emerging problems. |
Lectures on East Central European Legal History (Second, Enlarged Edition) has been published (Data: Sáry, Pál (ed.) Lectures on East Central European Legal History (Second, Enlarged Edition). Miskolc-Budapest: Central European Academic Publishing, 2023.)
The second edition of the book covers a wide range of legal topics specific to the region, from the influence of Roman law to the impact of Soviet regime. Each chapter provides an in-depth analysis and historical context for the development of legal systems in the East Central European region. |
Great Theorists of Central European Integration has been published (Data: Gedeon, Magdolna (ed.) Great Theorists of Central European Integration. Miskolc-Budapest: Central European Academic Publishing, 2023.) The book provides a comprehensive analysis of the lives and works of theoreticians who developed plans for European integration. Among the theoreticians, we find politicians, economists, priests, and writers who approached the question of integration from the perspectives of their professions. |
