The volume is the result of the international academic conference “Maastricht 30” organized on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the entry into force of the Maastricht Treaty.

The volume is the outcome of the international scientific conference “The ICC at 25: Lessons Learnt, Might Have Been Learnt and Unlearnt” organised dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the entry into force of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.

25th Jubilar International Scientific Conference of the International Criminal Law Association on 13-16 June 2025

The International Criminal Law Association has successfully held its 25th international scientific conference. The conference was held in Palić, Serbia, from 13 to 16 June 2025, on the general topic of “Challenges of International Criminal Law and Criminal Law” and was attended by more than 200 participants from various countries of the world, of whom 84 had their presentations.

Roundtable on the topic “Taxation of Offshore Business with a Focus on the United States” on 23 June 2025

On June 23, 2025, the Institute of Comparative Law hosted a roundtable on the topic ‘Taxation of Offshore Business with a Focus on the United States’. The discussion covered tax obligations for Serbian residents who open LLC companies in the U.S., the process of setting up such companies, and practical business experiences in both the U.S. and Dubai.

Dissertation Mock Examination on 17-20 June 2025

We are proud of our young researchers, who successfully completed their Dissertation Mock Examination at the University of Miskolc between 17 and 20 June 2025, as part of the first graduating cohort of the Central European Academy Junior Program. For the seven interns, this event represents the most important preparatory milestone before the public defense of their doctoral dissertations.

The Central European Academy (CEA) was pleased to announce its Farewell Event on 25 June 2025, marking a significant moment in its young yet impactful history. This occasion celebrated the first generation of junior researchers—doctoral students and interns—who had successfully completed their journey within the Academy's programmes.

Participants in the Central European Academy Junior Program were welcomed at the Sándor Palace. The CEA aims to promote international scientific cooperation between countries in the region, with a particular focus on involving younger generations. The students are already committed to legal thinking, scientific dialogue, and international relations.

Law Summer Course: Economic and Legal Program

By joining TELSP in Toruń (18 Aug–14 Sept), students will actively participate in a 4-week research project on topics like constitutional law, human rights, criminal law or labour issues, and collaborate with expert faculty members of the Nicolaus Copernicus University.
