CER'Newsletter 2026/1 Books New book series of CEA Publishing: SUN, first volume available online The SUN book series is a unique collection dedicated to legal scholars from Central and Eastern Europe who are at the zenith of their academic careers. It provides a platform for distinguished experts from various areas of law to publish their most influential monographs, serving as an inspiration for other scholars and contributing to the further development of jurisprudence. Journal articles, working papers, blog posts European Integration Studies Vol. 21 No. 2 (2025) The new issue of the European Integration Studies was published in December 2025. The main topic of the issue was the protection of human rights. Annals: Belgrade Law Review Vol. 73 No. 4 (2025) The Annals of the Faculty of Law in Belgrade is one of the top-ranked Serbian legal journals, indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. The fourth issue for 2025 was released in December 2025. Blog post: Krzysztof Masło: Migration crisis in Europe - is there a need for a new Eurocrime? The blog post is about the ongoing migration crisis in Europe since at least 2015 continues to raise questions about qualitative measures to prevent illegal entry and stay of migrants in EU Member States. Call for papers 12th CREAN PhD Symposium Exploring Emerging Horizons in Children’s Rights Research Across Disciplines and Contexts Exploring Emerging Horizons in Children’s Rights Research Across Disciplines and Context, 5-6 November 2026 On 5–6 November 2026, the Faculty of Law Osijek will proudly host the 12th Children’s Rights Research Symposium. For the first time, the Children’s Rights European Academic Network (CREAN) PhD Symposium will be held in this region. The symposium gathers doctoral candidates and supervisors from various disciplines law, sociology, psychology, education, anthropology, political science, history and others- to discuss, explore and develop research in the field of children’s rights. Conferences, workshops, book launches, presentations XXVII Conference on Labour Law and Social Security on 8-11 October 2025 XXVII International Scientific and Professional Conference of the Association for Labour Law and Social Security of the Republic of Serbia was held from 8 to 11 October 2025 at Zlatibor, Republic of Serbia. PHSF International Law conference on 15 January 2026 This conference took a comparative look at international and European Union law as instruments through which state sovereignty has been shaped, restricted, and in some cases even abolished within existing legal and political systems. PHSF Foreign Instruments conference on 6 February 2026 The aim of the conference is to present the various models of recognition of foreign documents and decisions of foreign courts. The researchers will address the issues arising from domestic law and the rules of international and EU law in this regard. They will present the existing in domestic law models of recognition of foreign documents applied in Central European countries. Promotion of the translation of the 50th book of Justinian’s Digests on 15 December 2025 On 15 December 2025, the promotion of the Serbian translation of the 50th book of Justinian’s Digests was held in the “Forvm Romanvm” club at the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade. The book has been published by the Institute for Comparative Law in Belgrade.
